1. Vilnius – Trakai – Kaunas

Vilnius – the capital of Lithuania with ancient and several centuries old history, which is eternalized in such architectural buildings as Gedeminas Castle, St. Ann’s Church…Kaunas – one of the most interesting cities in Lithuania.

Itinerary of excursion:

1st day.
We depart from Riga in an early morning. This road has been united Riga with other cities of Baltic States for a long time. Kekava, river Musa, as well as Bauska are speechless witnesses of those historical places.
Arrival in Vilnius at 13.00 pm and check-in at the hotel.
At 14.00 pm – excursion, during which you will be acquainted with Vilnius. Gedeminas Tower – one of the most significant historical places – and Upper Castle. In ancient times it made mediaeval city. During the time of cities developing and changing, there are observed some peculiarities.
Upper and Lower Castle. Cities growing out of the fortification wall of the 16th century. Vilnius – city where you can see well-preserved architectural monuments: St. Ann’s Church – masterpiece of Gothic architecture, St. Mikhail Church, a wall of the city with ancient entrance, University’s building – example of renaissance in architecture.
St. Paul’s Church – the highest achievement of Baroque style in Vilnius.
The Cathedral of Vilnius – amazing building in beginning of 18th and in 19th century.
After excursion you will have free evening and night in a hotel.

2nd day.
Breakfast. Drive to Trakai. Visitation of Trakai Castle – a unique monument of mediaeval fortification and architecture. Trakai – formerly the capital of Lithuania. Passage to Kaunas. Kaunas is the center of Lithuania, West European roads point of intersection. Kaunas is also one of the oldest cities in Baltic States. Sightseeing of Old City. You will see the part of Old City, who has the second most significant role in the architecture of the State. Town Hall Square, St. Vitautas’s Church, St. Gertrude Church, the ensemble of Pazaislis Camaldolese Monastery – it is only a small part of city’s rich cultural heritage. Visitation of Devil’s Museum. Free time.
Departure to Riga at approximately 18.00 pm.
