1st day.
We depart from Riga in an early morning. Road goes through former Courland and Mitava to Eleja and Siauliai – city of Lithuania. Visitation of the Hill of Crosses – one of the most original and interesting places in Baltic States.
Small walk in Siauliai. Further our road will go to Palanga – largest resort in Lithuania. City is ashore the Baltic Sea. Its history begins in the11th century. The second revival of Palanga is in 19th century. In 1824 land passed into hands of Earl F. Tiрkevicius’s. This happening changed this place. Sightseeing of the park and Amber museum, as well as Birutes hill. A walk in Palanga. This resort receives visitors the whole year. Free time. Night in the hotel.
2nd day.
Breakfast. Passage to Klaipeda, which is only 20 kilometres further. We will get acquainted with this city. It is the third largest city in Lithuania and it is situated near the Baltic Sea opposite to the Curonian Spit by the Danes riverside.
Klaipeda is Lithuanian exit to the sea. The history of the Memelburg’s Castle. Klaipeda today. The Old City of Klaipeda. We will visit also Sea Museum and dolphinarium.
